Intro: Former West German Finance Minister Gerhard Stoltenberg, sometimes blamed alongside U.S. Treasury Secretary James Baker for triggering the 1987 stock market crash over an interest rates row, has died aged 73.
A spokesman for his Christian Democratic party said on Saturday that Stoltenberg, who had been ill with cancer, died on Friday at his home in the western town of Bad Godesberg . . .
