National Jewish Medical and Research Center, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Partner to Provide Disease Management To Patients With COPD

National Jewish Medical and Research Center, the top respiratory hospital in the United States, today announced an exclusive partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (BIPI), producers of several leading Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) medications, to provide disease management and other educational services to patients with COPD throughout the country.

Under the contract, National Jewish will provide telephone-based disease management services to BIPI's patients who have COPD, a life-threatening condition that includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. National Jewish will also provide access to its smoking cessation programs and counseling to support BIPI's ``Quit for Life(TM)''smoking cessation program.
