Intro: According to closing arguments in a landmark tobacco lawsuit, Grinnell either killed himself by ignoring the obvious dangers of smoking three packs of unfiltered Pall Mall cigarettes daily or he was the victim of intentional deception by the American Tobacco Co., which hid from its customers the addictive effects of cigarette smoking.
Jurors will begin deliberations today in the $10 million civil lawsuit Grinnell filed in 1985 after being diagnosed with lung cancer.
