R.J. Reynolds Tobacco plans to begin marketing its Eclipse brand -- the company's low-smoke, "reduced risk" cigarette -- in Metroplex retail stores soon, the company's top marketing executive said yesterday.

With most cigarette advertising restricted or barred, Eclipse is suffering from disappointingly low product awareness even among smokers in the Metroplex, which has been a test market for the cigarette since April 19, said David Iauco, R.J. Reynolds' senior vice president for marketing.
