Denver Police arrest 84-year-old woman for selling cigarettes

Intro:

this Thursday Zona Moore saw police converge on her eatery and arrest her and three others.

No spokesperson for the department was available for an on-camera interview, but one officer told FOX31 News that there was a sting operation that turned up narcotics and other violations.

But Moore says police arrested her and took her via ambulance to jail due to her disabilities.

After spending a night in jail, she was told by the judge that she was being charged with selling cigarettes from open packs. Her bail was set at $3,000 for the misdemeanor charge. . . .

Now, with many tired of those long commutes to the 'burbs, inner city neighborhoods are in demand by younger whites. That is in fact what has been happening in several close-in areas in Denver and Zona's is in the heart of that area.
