Crestview Hills could ask fiscal courts to OK smoking ban  

Crestview Hills could urge the Northern Kentucky fiscal courts to pass a smoking ban.

At a public forum held Tuesday Nov. 10, the city's economic and zoning committee heard testimony from speakers on both sides of the issue.

The committee was looking specifically for information on the economic effects of a ban, but discussion also touched on personal rights and health issues.

At the end of the meeting, the committee voted 4-2 to recommend to city council to send letters to the Kenton, Boone and Campbell fiscal courts about the smoking ban, asking them to "keep it on the front burner," said council member Frank Sommerkamp Jr.
