Supporters of smoking ban seek to stop public vote  

But the South Dakota Tobacco Free Kids Network has filed documents challenging the secretary of state's certification of the measure for the ballot. If Secretary of State Chris Nelson agrees that not enough petition signatures were filed, the ban on smoking in bars and casinos would take effect.
