Five arrested, one charged, in £100,000 tobacco case  

Investigations into the theft of 380 boxes of different brands of cigarettes from a container at North Mole have developed with the arrests, by CID detectives, of five men. This investigation is being run parallel with the serious assault on a security guard who remains critical but stable in a Cadiz hospital. "The white van, which was suspected to be linked with the incident, has been found at a location on the East side of the Rock and forensic examinations are being conducted. The van was laden with a large amount of boxes of tobacco," said the Police.
