Intro: A West Burlington bar owner who refuses to comply with Iowa's smoking ban is facing the loss of his liquor license, according to state officials.
The Iowa Attorney General's office Wednesday filed a complaint with the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division against Larry Duncan, owner of Otis Campbell's Bar and Grill in downtown West Burlington.
The complaint alleges "open and continuing failure to comply with all applicable provisions of the Smokefree Air Act."
The violations are "sufficient grounds for the suspension and/or revocation of the licensee's (the bar's) liquor license," the complaint continued.
Lynn Walding, administrator for the alcoholic beverages division, added, "With the filing of this complaint, the attorney general's office is putting business owners on notice that state is prepared to enforce the Smokefree Air Act."
