Intro: CARLSBAD - After three years of lobbying by a pair of teenagers to get the City Council to ban smoking in public places, that push will bear fruit Tuesday.

Angela Caraglio was a junior at Carlsbad High School and a member of the campus environmental club in May 2005, when she first went to the City Council to advocate a ban on smoking at city parks and beaches.
