Smoking ban wins award  

Roseville received a state Clean Air Award for its new ordinance banning smoking in parks.

Roseville's ban, which went into effect in January, prohibits smoking in the city's 55 public parks and more than 4,000 acres of open space, including streambeds and bicycle trails.

Golf courses are the only exception.
