Is it unconstitutional for a government to take away the rights of an individual? Everyone has the power to make choices, especially about health. Is it really constitutional for the government to choose that every bar and restaurant in the state of Iowa be placed under a smoking ban?

Why would the government want to hurt small businesses, which really are the heart of small communities? Allowing casinos to be exempt from the smoking ban proves that the government leans in favor of big businesses that are a large source of income for the government. . . .

I believe the following is a solution that benefits everyone:

- Allow each establishment's owner to decide if the establishment will be smoke-free, and make each establishment post on its doors whether it permits smoking in its facility and if non-smoking areas are available.
