Tobacco fans, merchants delighted by 'cigar bar' opportunities 

Cigar shop owners and aficionados around the area could soon see expanded potential for their favorite pastime.

Legislation now in the state Senate would allow for "cigar bars," and if passed, could allow regular cigar shops to expand their business into serving food and complimentary beverages.

Different cigar shop owners envision different business models.

Steve Eifler, owner of the Smoke Stack Shop in Rochester, hopes to team up with the bar next door, which only offers beer and wine under its current liquor license.
