Intro: The Yukon will catch up with the rest of Canada after a ban on smoking in public places takes effect on May 15.
Premier Dennis Fentie says the new legislation is in the best interest of Yukon residents in a territory that lags behind the rest of the country.
The ban on smoking in public places includes outdoor decks and patios attached to businesses such as bars and restaurants.
