Intro: MORE than 530 people received expert advice and information from various locations around Newham on national No Smoking Day.
Those who signed up to the NHS Stop Smoking programme received pens, pencils, stress balls and drink mats.
Stop smoking manager at Newham Primary Care Trust, Liz Hughes, said the day was "really successful".
She said: "We had a lot of positive responses and people were very interested in attending our drop-in sessions. If you want to give up smoking, you can get help and support from Newham Stop Smoking advisors."
