Intro:

This summer, AMLI is extending the statewide smoking ban into the hallways of its newest apartment complex in Chicago’s South Loop. The forthcoming AMLI 900 will be the first, smoke-free complex of its kind in the city, opening its doors for leasing prospects in May. Jennifer Wolf, vice president of development for AMLI Residential, says the building will ready for occupancy in June.

“Essentially the building is promoting smoke-free living,” Wolf says of the 24-story, glass-and-steel tower located at 900 South Clark Street. “Residents and their guests do not smoke inside or outside, not even on the balconies. It’s a smoke-free environment for people who are health conscience, which doesn’t exist very often in multi-unit living.”

The new AMLI 900 will be part of the company’s Breatheasy program, which is already implemented at two of its rental complexes in Seattle and Atlanta.
