Intro: NORTH Wales Fire and Rescue Service are appealing to residents in Flintshire to 'Put it Out, Right out!'
The service has been supporting No Smoking events, including one at Asda in Queensferry, throughout the week especially yesterday, which was No Smoking Day.
Richard Fairhead, community safety manager is emphasising that as well as putting your health at risk, smoking can also put you and your family in danger of being injured or killed by a fire at your home.
He said: "Statistics show that smokers are 35% more likely to have a house fire than non-smokers. This is significantly increased when alcohol is involved.
