Intro: Save the children from second-hand smoke and cancer. That is what the World Health Organization (WHO) wants the grown-ups to do today - World Cancer Day. The year-long smoke-free childhood campaign is the first global initiative of its kind.
WHO has joined the International Union Against Cancer (UICC), a global consortium of cancer-fighting organizations, in the initiative and given it a slogan: "I love my smoke-free childhood".
