Intro: Indianapolis International Airport on Friday passed an amended version of a previously approved smoking ban.
As of midnight, smoking is prohibited in any airport building but people will be allowed to smoke in a few designated areas outside.
The airport authority had discussed banning smoking both inside and outside the airport.
The amended version loosens that to allow lighting up in designated outdoor areas, 6News' Julie Pursley reported.
