Intro: Heartland Inns of America, LLC, with 19 locations in Iowa and Wisconsin including one located at 300 34th Avenue NW in Altoona, became 100-percent smoke-free this month.
In response to growing guest demand for comfortable accommodations in a healthy, smoke-free environment, effective June 14 all 19 Heartland Inn facilities became 100-percent smoke free, including all guest rooms and public areas.
It is a move that Heartland Inn Altoona General Manager Jennifer Headington said has been well-received by guests.
“We’ve had a lot of positives come in,” Headington said. “There’s a lot of people who come into the hotel and make comments like ‘Thank you for going non-smoking.’ They’re just really appreciative of a smoke-free environment.”
. . .
“Now guests can sleep and breathe easier in every room at every Heartland Inn,” said Barb Cullinan, Heartland Inns of America, director of operations.
