British American Tobacco (BAT) last week launched an East African website for its integrated East African Community (EAC) business unit.

 This follows a restructuring move that has seen its three entities in Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda go through changes aimed at optimising the group’s business processes, to ensure long-term business sustainability.

BAT Uganda’s managing director, Mr. Glenn Sheppard said the company is aiming at providing consistent information reaching millions of people worldwide instantly.

“This communication platform has helped business organisations reach their stakeholders and also made information more accessible to everyone,” Sheppard said at a breakfast launch at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

“This website will foster our identity as an East African Community (EAC) business,” he added.
