EU takes action against Germany, Luxembourg on cross-border tobacco advertising

Intro:

The European Commission said it has sent "reasoned opinions" to Germany and Luxembourg for failing to adopt EU laws banning tobacco advertising in the print media, on radio and over the internet.

The laws apply only to tobacco advertising and sponsorship with a cross-border dimension.
