The American Cancer Society is mobilizing the effort to pass a smoke-free ordinance in Chicago in cooperation with the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, National African American Tobacco Prevention Network, Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids and more than 100 coalition partners, including public health organizations, associations and community organizations who support or represent Chicago residents.
A major new poll reveals that 62 percent of registered Chicago voters broadly support making the city's workplaces, restaurants and bars smoke-free.
