Intro:

The state has been preaching value added agriculture since the bottom fell out of tobacco more than five years ago. Monday a plan to help guide northeast Kentucky farmers through the maze of entrepreneurship was set in motion. . .

With the help of the University of Kentucky, a plan was formed to educate 30 people in the 19-county northeast Kentucky area most dependent on tobacco in the ways of helping businesses get off the ground.

These volunteers will attend the Coaching and Leadership Institute, attending nine 2-3 day workshops over a 16 month period.

They will return to their communities prepared to help people with dreams and ideas find the resources needed to be successful.
