El Salvador's association of soccer teams agreed Monday night to ban explosives and fireworks following a weekend explosion that killed one person and injured 40 others in the stands at Jorge Gonzalez Stadium . . .

Investigators say the victim, 29-year-old Jesus Montano, apparently had brought explosive powder to the game, apparently for celebrations. A vendor in the stands said she had seen Montano smoking a cigarette while holding a bag, apparently of powder.
