Intro: A man accused of attempted murder and robbery at a tobacco warehouse in Luxembourg organised smuggling tours to the Grand Duchy to bring cheap cigarettes back to the UK, a court was told today.
Keith Birkinshaw, 50, used a series of couriers to bring back the hauls, judges in Luxembourg heard.
But a visit in November 2000 to wholesale cigarette warehouse La Tabathaque with his son Edward and a friend, Glenn Dawson, ended in murder, it was claimed.
