Intro: THE best present parents could give their children this Christmas was to quit smoking, Australian Medical Association president Bill Glasson said yesterday.
In a heartfelt message prompted by the premature death of his mother this year, Dr Glasson said parents who smoked hurt their children.
He said smoking cut his mother's life by 20 years.
