Unified Tobacco Factory Factory to Open Cigarette Production Line

Intro:

Two lines of cigarette production, of the national brand "Ac" and "SL", with the capacity of producing five thousands units per minute, was inaugurated today, in Luanda, in the Unified Tobacco Factory (FTU), an investment by the company "Britsh American Tobacco".

The setting up of the equipments, which took about one year, and the respective training of the Angolan staff, cost the company expenses of about 3 million Dollars.

According to the general Director of the FTU Unified Society (STU) of Angola, Fernando Cantalupo, the current production will permit to provide the national market with about 80 per cent of its production that will allow the country to save foreign currency.
