NUUK, GREENLAND - Smoking and overcrowding are two of the contributing factors behind cases of severe respiratory illness among infants on Baffin Island, a physician says.

Dr. Anna Banerji of Toronto led a 14-month study of children admitted to Baffin Regional Hospital in Iqaluit. She presented her final results at the International Congress on Circumpolar Health in Greenland.
