Intro:

The new D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) elementary curriculum is in the process of being printed and should be ready for use in 2004. Proctor Police Officer Dan Mosher has been certified to provide the updated material as is Officer Doug Bolander.

The theme of the revised D.A.R.E middle school curricula is "Take Charge of Your Life, . . .

"The new curriculum will deal with fewer topics than the previous curriculum. It will focus on tobacco, alcohol and bullying," Mosher explained. "The curriculum is 80% active and it engages the student to sort through material and make good decisions."
