Intro:

FREE nicotine patches are being handed out to patients at Norwich hospitals with a total ban on smoking.

The initiative was started by Norwich Primary Care Trust to help relieve the cravings of patients desperate to light up while receiving treatment.

There has been a total smoking ban for patients and staff on hospital grounds in the city since January 1.
