The Chief Executive of Action on Smoking and Health, Anne Jones says the study results are worrying.
"We have I think even more reason now to be concerned about the huge increase which some studies from the US confirm. There's been a 50 per cent increase in smoking in teenage girl films, so I think it confirms our worst fears about the impact smoking in films is having on young people," she says.
