Air Algerie: No Smoking Extended to International Flights

Intro:

No smoking onboard Air Algerie planes, enforced on the domestic flights back in 1997, shall be extended to its international flights "in the next few days" , the national airline company announced Saturday in a communiqu. "Concerned about the passengers' wellbeing and comfort, Air Algerie seizes this opportunity to thank them sincerely for their loyalty and understanding," underlined the company in the same communiqu. The company's international traffic covers the main European capitals and cities, as well as some African and Middle Eastern destinations.

According to a recent study, 48 percent of high school students in Algiers consume drugs, 51 percent of them daily. The study was conducted by FOREM (the National Foundation for the Promotion of Health and the Development of Research). . . On the other hand, only 21 percent of those interviewed smoke tobacco.
